According to Yamatane's first-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced on August 7, net sales were 12.501 billion yen (up 12.8% year-on-year), operating profit was 861 million yen (up 150.9%), ordinary profit was 967 million yen (up 154.5%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 516 million yen (up 161.9%).
By segment, the Logistics Company's sales were 12.476 billion yen (down 1.0%). This was due to an increase in the number of transactions handled in international operations, mainly overseas relocations, compared to the same period last year, but also due to some lost contracts with clients in the domestic warehousing business (where proposals were made to customers during sales activities, but ultimately no contracts or orders were reached).
On the other hand, operating profit increased to 1.07 billion yen (a 26.0% increase) due to factors such as the passing on of increased outsourcing costs, including vehicle fees, and personnel expenses, as well as the appropriate allocation of resources according to the volume of business handled, and the elimination of the real estate acquisition tax for the new warehouse at Honmoku Wharf, which was completed in June of the previous year.
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 12.71 billion yen (up 15.9%), operating profit of 1.985 billion yen (up 51.1%), ordinary profit of 1.95 billion yen (up 57%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 1.349 billion yen (up 59.8%).
