On November 7, SG Holdings (SGHD) acquired 100% of the outstanding shares of D-Line and its six group companies (target companies) through its subsidiary SD Transline (SDT), making them subsidiaries.
SDT, a subsidiary, aims to address challenges such as business succession issues and further stabilization and efficiency improvements in transportation networks by promoting communication with partner companies, thereby finding the best solutions for both parties.
The target company is a major contractor for trunk line transportation operations in the parcel delivery business of its subsidiary, Sagawa Express (SGW), and SGW is also a major customer of the target company, accounting for more than 50% of its sales. Recognizing that both companies are important business partners, and in discussions with SGHD regarding the future management structure, it was determined that this acquisition of shares would contribute to the continuation of both companies' businesses and the maintenance and stabilization of their service infrastructure.
