The NX Group considers the Indian market one of its most important bases, operating 103 sales offices and 60 warehouses in 39 cities across India. In July of this year, it established the "India Development Group" to further strengthen its business expansion structure.
Maharashtra is India's largest economic state, accounting for approximately 13.5% of its nominal GDP. It boasts a robust logistics infrastructure with a railway network exceeding 6310 km in length, 18 national highways, two major ports and 48 secondary ports, a road network of approximately 328,000 km, and three international airports.
In addition to various incentives such as state-specific tax breaks and subsidies, the state has established a system to accept investment, including a one-stop service window for Japanese companies and a Japanese industrial park, further increasing its importance as a core manufacturing and distribution hub in India.
This visit was conducted with the aim of exchanging views between the Maharashtra State Government and the NX Group on the potential for strategic collaboration in logistics, industrial development, and investment promotion, and to lay the foundation for joint initiatives toward realizing the Indian government's "Viksit Bharat 2047" vision.
During the meeting, participants exchanged views on expanding NX Group's business in India and developing a logistics hub concept with Maharashtra as its core base, taking into account the state's logistics and investment environment, which is driving India's growth.
Both sides agreed to continue holding meetings and strengthen cooperation toward India's industrial development.
