On November 7, Proud Partners announced that it had signed an agreement with Izumi Logistics, a Daisei Group company, to jointly train approximately 300 of the 500 first-generation trainees who are scheduled to come to Japan as specified skilled workers (truck drivers) as part of the "Specified Skills Human Resource Development Project Specialized for the Transportation Industry" being advanced by the Uzbek government.
Proud Partners operates a specialized personnel placement business for specified skilled workers and has been working on this project in collaboration with the Uzbek government since September 2025.
Izumi Logistics is a logistics company that handles individual deliveries from manufacturing plants and distribution centers to convenience stores, supermarkets, medical facilities, and other locations, as well as trunk line transportation spanning multiple prefectures. Amidst a serious shortage of drivers across the industry, and following the addition of truck drivers to the Specified Skilled Worker No. 1 category in March 2024, the company launched the "Foreign Driver Recruitment Project" in August of the same year, focusing on recruiting foreign talent.
With this agreement, both companies will provide Izumi Logistics with eight months of "safety standards training" in Uzbekistan so that drivers can start working immediately upon arrival in Japan.
A representative from Izumi Logistics commented, "We hope to work together to cultivate international logistics talent, nurturing people across borders and transporting the future."
