According to the third-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced by Shibusawa Warehouse on February 7, net sales were 60.34 billion yen (up 1.2% year-on-year), operating profit was 3.152 billion yen (down 18.7%), ordinary profit was 3.923 billion yen (down 14.4%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 6.032 billion yen (up 24.2%).
Sales in the logistics business totaled 37.157 billion yen (up 1.6%), broken down by service as follows: warehousing 9.954 billion yen (down 1.0%), port transportation 3.359 billion yen (up 1.2%), land transportation 18.333 billion yen (up 4.9%), international transportation 3.916 billion yen (down 2.5%), and other 1.594 billion yen (down 5.6%).
While warehouse operations performed well in the handling of beverages and medical equipment, overall handling decreased due to the withdrawal of operations at some locations as customers transitioned to in-house operations or consolidated their facilities. In addition, depreciation expenses and rent increased with the operation of newly established facilities.
In land transportation operations, the handling of beverages, food products, and cosmetics related to e-commerce performed well. In response to rising freight costs, efforts were made to maintain profitability by collecting appropriate freight rates.
Port transportation operations are performing steadily, driven by increased handling of onboard cargo handling and coastal cargo handling related to export materials.
While international transportation operations saw strong performance in import and export air cargo, overall operations declined due to sluggish handling of imported home appliances, as well as forwarding and warehousing services at overseas subsidiaries.
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 800 billion yen (up 1.8%), operating profit of 42 billion yen (down 10.0%), ordinary profit of 51 billion yen (down 8.7%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 55 billion yen (up 12.0%).
