According to Sanritsu's financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced on November 7, net sales were 9.953 billion yen (up 3.7% year-on-year), operating profit was 408 million yen (down 7.1%), ordinary profit was 356 million yen (up 13.5%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 230 million yen (up 15.8%).
In the segment-by-segment breakdown, the packaging business division saw sales of 6.944 billion yen (up 1.9%), driven by strong domestic exports of machine tools and increased handling of power conversion equipment. Segment profit, however, was 736 million yen (down 4.3%), due to sluggish handling of machine tools at its US subsidiary, impacted by tariffs and other factors.
In the transportation business segment, sales were 1.317 billion yen (down 1.7%) due to weak handling of medical equipment, while segment profit was 159 million yen (up 40.9%), as the company passed on increased transportation costs to customers through price increases.
In the warehousing business division, the operation of the newly opened Fuchu warehouse and the successful placement of vacant warehouse space resulting from customers consolidating their warehouses led to increased sales of 1.569 billion yen (up 19.5%) and segment profit of 233 million yen (up 2.7%).
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 21 billion yen (up 4.4%), operating profit of 950 million yen (down 8.2%), ordinary profit of 730 million yen (down 9.0%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 490 million yen (up 4.5%).
