Operating profit increased to 71 million yen (up 179.5%), largely due to the increase in sales and the improved profit margin resulting from revised fees agreed upon with some major customers.
The transportation business is responsible for the transportation aspect of the comprehensive logistics business. Sales were 137 million yen (down 4.0%), affected by a decrease in the volume of business handled by major customers. Operating profit was 2 million yen (up 258.0%), despite the impact of the decrease in sales, due to a reduction in the cost ratio resulting from cost reductions.
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 86 billion yen (up 3.1%), operating profit of 2 billion yen (up 151.8%), ordinary profit of 3.15 billion yen (up 96.3%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 2.08 billion yen (up 16.1%).
