On November 12, Askul announced the progress (8th report) on its efforts to restore services following a system failure caused by a ransomware attack.

Currently, we are prioritizing the ASKUL (for business use) service, and will reopen the service's website after strengthening security measures and confirming its safety. Shipments will be gradually expanded while ensuring stable operation.

As the second phase of this initiative, a trial of web-based ordering and manual shipping began on the 12th. In addition to fax orders, orders can now be placed again through the Soloel Arena website. For orders in box units, shipping locations include the Shinkiba Logistics Center, ASKUL Osaka DC, and a total of seven locations in Sendai, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kansai, and Fukuoka. Single-item orders for medical equipment, sanitary materials, and other medical supplies are handled by ASKUL Tokyo DC.

As a second phase of expansion, direct shipping will partially resume on the same day. For customers who order through the Soloel Arena website, direct shipping will be available from each supplier's location for items such as stationery, daily necessities, food and beverage consumables, and PC peripherals. This will be gradually expanded from approximately 2 million items (from 9 suppliers).

The full recovery phase is expected to begin in early December, with the resumption of orders on the ASKUL website and normal shipments from some logistics centers. The number of operational centers will be gradually increased.

Askul reports third ransomware infection, begins trial shipment of some products manually.
