According to the financial results for the fiscal year ending September 2025, announced by Yokohama Reito (Yokorei) on November 13, net sales were 125.563 billion yen (up 2.7% year-on-year), operating profit was 4.238 billion yen (down 8.8%), ordinary profit was 3.658 billion yen (down 23.9%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 1.978 billion yen (down 49.7%).
Sales in the refrigerated warehouse business were 37.724 billion yen (up 7.4%), and operating profit was 7.436 billion yen (up 3.3%).
In this business, in addition to the three domestic logistics centers completed in the previous period, there were factors that weighed down profits, such as the burden of depreciation expenses related to two domestic logistics centers and one in Vietnam completed in the current period, as well as increased costs due to rising prices of labor, power, and other goods.
However, due to continued high inventory levels from the previous period, incoming, outgoing, and current inventory all exceeded those of the previous period. In addition, productivity was improved through price revisions and operational efficiency improvements, which absorbed the increased costs and secured increased revenue and profits.
At Taiyo Korei, a consolidated subsidiary, both incoming and outgoing goods increased, and from the third quarter onward, increased inventory of key products such as livestock products and fruit juices resulted in increased revenue and profit.
For the next fiscal year, we project net sales of 1180 billion yen (down 6.0%), operating profit of 48 billion yen (up 13.3%), ordinary profit of 46 billion yen (up 25.7%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 30 billion yen (up 51.6%).
