On November 14, GLP Japan announced that it had signed a solar power PPA service agreement with Anshin, the largest logistics company in Okinawa Prefecture under the umbrella of Shinba Holdings. They also announced that they had installed a self-consumption type solar power generation system on the roof of Anshin's dedicated facility, "GLP Okinawa Urasoe," and began supplying electricity from September 1.
PPA stands for Power Purchase Agreement. This is the second time that GLP Japan has installed self-consumption solar power generation equipment in an operational property with the cooperation of its tenant customers.
<Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Service Scheme>

"GLP Okinawa Urasoe" is a four-story logistics facility completed in 2023. The introduction of this solar power PPA service is a collaboration with alliance partner i-Grid Solutions (headquartered in Tokyo). GLP Japan has invested in the project and installed 464.095kW of solar panels on the facility's roof, supplying renewable energy directly to the building.
As a result, approximately 24.2% of Anshin's projected annual electricity demand will be covered by solar power generation, and an estimated annual reduction of approximately 343 tons of CO2 emissions is expected.
The PPA model offers tenant companies the advantage of accessing stable renewable energy without the burden of initial investment or maintenance. It also leads to cost reductions and strengthened ESG activities for adopting companies.
Japan GLP is promoting the introduction of solar power generation equipment with the aim of reducing environmental impact and increasing asset value, and as of November 2025, it has installed solar power generation equipment on the roofs of 71 facilities. In the future, it plans to promote similar initiatives, mainly in the BTS properties that it manages and operates.
