Shibusawa Warehouse announced on November 17 that it has posted a report on its corporate website regarding natural resources financial information based on the recommendations of the TNFD (Task Force on Natural Resources Financial Disclosures).
The TNFD (Task Force on Natural Resources Financial Disclosures) is an international framework for companies to identify risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity, and to disclose their impacts from a financial perspective.
The report is a disclosure based on the TNFD (Task Force on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures) framework, which recommends that organizations report on and respond to nature-related risks in order to achieve nature positivity. It represents an important step in strategically understanding the relationship between natural capital and business activities and in order to enhance corporate value.
The group has identified the transition to a circular economy as one of its material priorities and is actively working to solve nature-related issues. Specifically, in addition to reducing industrial waste in its logistics business and promoting recyclable logistics, it is also conducting analyses of the degree of dependence on and impact of its business activities on nature using the TNFD's LEAP approach.
The company stated that it will continue to visualize the relationship between its business operations and natural capital, and will proactively and continuously advance efforts to solve nature-related issues throughout its entire supply chain, thereby establishing a resilient management foundation and achieving sustainable corporate value enhancement.
