On November 17, Ebara Corporation announced that its group company, Machinery Korea Incorporated, will establish a second dry vacuum pump overhaul (OH) plant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, with the aim of further strengthening its product supply system and after-sales service base for dry vacuum pumps in the Korean market.
This new facility will expand our overhaul capacity to meet increasing demand from our major customers in South Korea, and aim to improve customer satisfaction through stable supply and shorter delivery times. By introducing state-of-the-art equipment that is mindful of ESG and energy conservation, we will also contribute to reducing our environmental impact.
In the semiconductor market, demand is expected to expand due to technological advancements and generational AI, and the importance of overhaul services for dry vacuum pumps, which are indispensable in manufacturing sites, is increasing even further. In South Korea, an existing overhaul plant has been operating near the newly constructed second plant since 1997, but the decision to build a second overhaul plant was made with the aim of establishing a faster and more stable service provision system.
