Nippon Express announced organizational changes effective January 1, 2026.
The organizational changes to be implemented will involve abolishing the Sales Enablement Department and the Knowledge Center and integrating them into the Account Sales Division. This is because the Sales Enablement Department and the Account Sales Division share common functions, and integrating these functions will enable centralized management and immediate utilization of data and knowledge, as well as improve the speed from strategy planning to execution.
Next, the Public Sector Sales Department will be split, and a new General Construction Sales Department will be established. The reason for this is to accelerate and expand our entry into general construction logistics, including construction-related logistics and civil engineering-related logistics, and to build a system that provides end-to-end solutions, including related resource recycling services (NRBOX, etc.) and relocation services, by establishing a department that specializes in sales for the general construction industry.
A new Device & Machinery Operations Office will be established under the jurisdiction of the Device & Machinery Sales Department. This new office will build upon Simon Hegele's track record in Europe and the Americas, and will house specialized staff focused on Simon Hegele's domestic operations and large-scale medical device business, aiming to expand sales revenue through specialized technology and strategic sales.
The Business Development Department will be renamed the Sustainable Solutions Promotion Department. This change is to alter the responsibilities of the Business Development Department and rename it the Sustainable Solutions Promotion Department, which will plan, develop, and implement initiatives that link business operations with sustainability.
The Digital Platform Strategy Office will be renamed the DX Solutions Promotion Department. The reason for this change is to alter the responsibilities of the Digital Platform Strategy Office and rename it the DX Solutions Promotion Department, with the aim of planning, developing, and promoting the implementation of business-oriented DX solutions.
