In conjunction with this, and in order to strengthen the collaboration between the two companies, Tokyu Fudosan Holdings has also completed an investment in Turing through its corporate venture capital (CVC) fund, "TSVF2 Investment Limited Partnership."

In response to challenges such as the shortage of truck drivers, citing the "2024 problem," the two companies will explore cooperation in collecting driving data from vehicles equipped with Turing's E2E autonomous driving technology, which is currently under development, in new development projects and existing projects they are involved in, as well as joint demonstrations.

When Tokyu Fudosan HD conducts demonstration experiments related to autonomous driving in central Tokyo, including the "Greater Shibuya Area," which is defined by the Tokyu Group as an area within a radius of approximately 2.5 km from Shibuya Station, it will strengthen its collaboration with Turing.

Regarding the business and capital agreement, Tokyu Land Corporation Executive Officer Kimitoshi Sato commented, "We would like to work closely with Turing to realize Level 5 autonomous driving and build new business models by combining the wide range of assets that Tokyu Land Corporation develops, including logistics facilities and industrial parks, with Turing's advanced technological capabilities."

Turing CEO Kazunari Yamamoto stated, "Fully autonomous driving is a technology that will fundamentally change the way people, cities, and industries operate. Through this capital and business alliance, we will continue to do our utmost to deliver domestically produced fully autonomous driving technology to society as soon as possible."

Through this partnership, the two companies aim to concretize ideas for human transport services such as robotaxis, last-mile logistics, and automation solutions within industrial parks, with the goal of realizing Level 5 autonomous driving in logistics and human transport.
