On November 19, SBS Toshiba Logistics launched a page on its corporate website introducing "construction logistics."
Construction sites face numerous challenges that directly impact the project timeline, such as insufficient storage space for materials and equipment, and delays in receiving and installing materials due to labor shortages.
In the field of "construction logistics," we temporarily store goods delivered by suppliers in warehouses, enabling just-in-time delivery according to the project schedule. This prevents congestion at construction sites and traffic jams on surrounding roads, leading to space savings.
Initial assembly and modularization are carried out in the warehouse to reduce the burden on on-site workers, and SBS Toshiba Logistics engineers handle the delivery and installation of heavy items such as distribution boards and cubicles. They also improve the on-site environment by handling unpacking and removing waste materials.
The company is using its nationwide logistics network to promote its support for meeting construction deadlines and improving on-site efficiency through its website.
