JR East Smart Logistics, Keihan Holdings, and Keihan Electric Railway will install multi-functional lockers called "Multi-Ecube" at four Keihan Electric Railway stations in Kyoto City (Shichijo, Gion-Shijo, Sanjo, and Demachiyanagi) starting November 21st.

Multi-Cube is a multi-functional locker that offers reservation, cashless payment, and multilingual support.
In addition to serving as a regular luggage storage locker, from January 2026, it will also be possible to have luggage delivered to hotels in Kyoto City on the same day, promoting hands-free sightseeing in Kyoto.
Furthermore, starting in January, we will offer a highly-demand package receiving and delivery service to further improve convenience.
The installation of the system at Keihan Electric Railway stations will bring the total to nine stations, including the five stations in Osaka Prefecture (Nakanoshima, Kitahama, Tenmabashi, Kyobashi, and Hirakata-shi) where it was installed in April of this year.
JR East Smart Logistics aims to deploy 1000 units nationwide by the end of fiscal year 2026.
