Shippio and Aisin announced on November 20th that Shippio's solutions will support Aisin's focus on "DX-L (DX-Logistics: DX in logistics)" initiatives, and that they will jointly accelerate the construction of next-generation supply chains.
<Aisin and Shippio to jointly build next-generation supply chains>

Since 2023, Aisin has been utilizing "Shippio Cargo," a trade management cloud for shippers, to visualize cargo transportation status and make use of transportation data. Furthermore, by the end of fiscal year 2025, Aisin plans to expand this initiative to approximately 40 of its global locations, aiming to build a next-generation supply chain to achieve its goal of "halving logistics costs by 2030."
Supporting Aisin's "through-transmission visualization" in international logistics is the trade management cloud "Shippio Cargo." By utilizing the automatic ship tracking function provided within the cloud, it is obtaining accurate ship schedule data in real time, which was previously a black box in international logistics.
Furthermore, by linking this schedule data with the cargo details data held by Aisin, they built an in-house system to visualize the discrepancies between the plan and actual results across the entire supply chain.
It's not just about partially improving operational efficiency by simply "making cargo movements visible," but building a foundation for "overall optimization" that allows for a comprehensive overview of the entire supply chain and enables rapid, data-driven decision-making. Currently, approximately 1200 trade transactions per month are managed using "Shippio Cargo."
Aisin will deploy its "through-process visualization" system, utilizing "Shippio Cargo," to approximately 40 of its global locations by the end of fiscal year 2025. This will enable the full-scale optimization of its global supply chain.
Furthermore, under Aisin's proposed "Cyber/Physical Information Factory" concept, we will collaborate on the advanced analysis and utilization of accumulated international logistics activity log data. This will enable improved lead time accuracy, inventory optimization, and logistics simulations, driving transformation toward achieving the goal of halving logistics costs by 2030.
