Mosaic develops and provides medical solutions in areas such as vascular access and acute renal function support related to kidney disease treatment, and is also considering expanding into home-based kidney care in the future.
In response, DHL will support the establishment of a business base in the Japanese market, and will handle everything from product storage and inventory management, to labeling in accordance with medical device manufacturing licenses, and delivery to wholesalers and sales offices nationwide, based at its Sagamihara Logistics Center.
The Sagamihara Logistics Center is a facility that has been operating exclusively for medical devices since 2019. To maintain product quality, it is equipped with warehouse facilities that can control temperatures at -20°C (freezing), 1-30°C (room temperature), 2-8°C (refrigeration), and 15-25°C (ambient temperature).
In terms of location, it boasts excellent access to Haneda Airport and Narita International Airport, enabling efficient transportation both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, its location midway between Mosaic's research and development (R&D) base in Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and central Tokyo contributes to improved transportation efficiency and business scalability.
The DHL Group aims to leverage the expertise of "DHL Health Logistics" to simplify the management of complex international supply chains and meet the needs of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
