On November 26, Yamato Holdings announced that Yamato Transport Taiwan had obtained ISO 22716:2007 "Cosmetics GMP," the first international standard for cosmetic manufacturing and quality control, from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, at its Central Logistics Center in northern Taiwan. This will enable the company to affix Chinese labels to imported products in accordance with Taiwanese regulations.

In Taiwan, regulations are being gradually strengthened based on the "Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Management Act," which came into effect in July 2019, in order to improve the quality of cosmetics and ensure consumer safety. Companies selling cosmetics in Taiwan are required to register product information in advance and ensure that their manufacturing facilities comply with good manufacturing practices standards, and from July 2026, almost all cosmetics will be subject to these regulations.
Furthermore, since the packaging of imported cosmetics and the application of Chinese labels are also part of the manufacturing process, complying with legal regulations has become an urgent issue for cosmetics distributors.
In response to this situation, Taiwan Yamato provides comprehensive support for a series of warehousing and logistics operations, from international transportation from overseas manufacturing sites (Japan and various parts of the world) to Taiwan, customs clearance during import, warehousing and storage in Taiwan, distribution processing including the application of Chinese labels based on "Cosmetics GMP" certification, shipment to end users (stores and consumers), and recalls due to returns and product replacements. All communication with customers is conducted in Japanese, enabling smooth communication.
The Central Logistics Center is directly connected to the logistics terminal of Uni-President Express Co., Ltd., which provides express delivery services in Taiwan. This eliminates the need for transportation and transshipment between inventory storage warehouses and distribution centers, contributing to maximizing sales opportunities through extended order acceptance times, improving transportation quality, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, the introduction of a semi-automated warehouse and warehouse management system, along with a 365-day shipping system, enables product manufacturing and storage/shipping management in lot units.
