JR Kyushu and JR East Smart Logistics will install "Multi-Cube," a multi-functional locker that allows for advance locker reservations, luggage retrieval, and shipping of luggage such as suitcases, at Hakata Station on December 3rd, marking the first such installation in Kyushu.

In addition to being used as a regular locker, some boxes are also equipped with a refrigeration function, making it possible to store food and other items.
The locker reservation service is intended for customers with a lot of luggage, such as those traveling or on business trips, and for situations where they want to be sure to store their belongings, such as during events.
Furthermore, as a delivery service utilizing "Multi-Ecube," same-day delivery of luggage to hotels in Fukuoka City will be implemented. Along with a service for receiving packages purchased via courier or e-commerce sites, this service offers high levels of convenience.
The two companies aim to create new customer experiences by promoting hands-free sightseeing and collaborating with the Shinkansen luggage transport service "Hayatto! Bin."
