Until now, Koikeya's products for the Chubu region were transported from logistics centers in the Kanto and Kansai regions.

The Kaizu plant is directly connected to the factory by a conveyor belt, completely eliminating intermediate transportation (so-called "horizontal transport") from the factory to the logistics center, and centralizing deliveries in the Chubu area.

This initiative is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 6%, resulting in environmentally friendly and efficient logistics.

Transcom sees the Kaizu plant as "a good example of achieving the common challenge of improving transportation efficiency and reducing environmental impact through collaboration with Koikeya," and views it as the foundation for developing a logistics platform concept for the confectionery industry in the Chubu area.

Starting from the Kaizu plant, the company aims to promote efficient joint delivery within the area by expanding its transportation network, and to further realize environmentally conscious logistics through improved transportation efficiency.
