On December 3rd, Bandai Logipal announced that, together with Shimojima and Marubeni Forest Links, they have launched a "circular economy model" to collect and recycle used cardboard.
The initiative involves recycling used cardboard generated at Bandai Logipal's facilities and reusing it as packaging cardboard. It employs a "closed-loop recycling" system, where materials that have been used by the company are reused as raw materials and circulated back into the company's own products for the same purpose.
Marubeni Forest Links and Kowa Kogyo, both part of the Marubeni Group, will collect used cardboard and produce and supply recycled paper, while Shimojima will manufacture cardboard products for packaging.

The cardboard produced through this initiative is now available for purchase on "PREMIUM BANDAI," the official online store of the Bandai Namco Group. Furthermore, the paper bags used by various Bandai Namco Group companies will be gradually replaced with products produced under this scheme.
Bandai Logipal, Shimojima, and Marubeni Forest Links stated that they will continue to leverage their synergies to encourage consumer interest in a circular economy and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
