20251210manga2 - Large truck collision accident / A manga depicting the accident in Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, is now available online.

This manga was created based on the 10-year summary released by the committee, with the aim of reaching as many drivers as possible, and was released in conjunction with the comprehensive safety inspection regarding transportation during the year-end and New Year period.

To raise awareness among transportation companies and to be used for driver safety training, the information will be made available online and printed copies will be distributed to relevant organizations nationwide. Making it available online will allow many people, including drivers, to access it.

The published content is based on three accidents that the committee has previously published as investigation reports: "A collision involving a large truck (Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, Tohoku Expressway)," "A rear-end collision involving a large passenger bus (Hamakita Ward, Hamamatsu City, Shin-Tomei Expressway)," and "A rear-end collision involving a taxi (Yodogawa Ward, Osaka City, Prefectural Road 41)."

In one of these incidents, a large truck collision (Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture) occurred when a large truck, traveling in the first lane of the Tohoku Expressway, collided with a large charter bus that had stopped in the same lane due to a breakdown, as well as the driver and two passengers who were dealing with the breakdown behind the bus.
