The Tohoku Production and Logistics Center is the Tokyo Electron Group's first facility to combine the functions of semiconductor manufacturing equipment production and logistics warehousing. The building is four stories tall with a total floor area of approximately 58,000 square meters.
Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2024, with operations expected to start in April 2026. The facility incorporates disaster prevention features, including the adoption of the "DKB Elastic Sliding Seismic Isolation Bearing," a seismic isolation device uniquely developed by Daiwa House Industry.

By consolidating logistics warehouses scattered throughout the prefecture and beyond, we aim to improve production efficiency, shorten lead times, and address challenges in production and logistics, such as labor shortages and business continuity planning (BCP), thereby strengthening flexibility, efficiency, and responsiveness.
In the future, there are plans to implement an automated warehouse using multiple robots, where components dispatched from the logistics area will be transported to the production area by automated guided vehicles, enabling efficient execution of the entire process from module assembly to inspection and packaging.
Against the backdrop of global digitalization and a decarbonized society, Tokyo Electron Technology Solutions' thin-film deposition equipment, which it develops and manufactures, is expected to see significant growth in the future. By constructing the Tohoku Production and Logistics Center, the company aims to meet the expanding market and diversifying technological needs, and by providing products in a timely manner through the consolidation of production and logistics functions, it will contribute to sustainable growth in the medium to long term and the development of society.
