On December 10, Iino Kaiun announced that it had received an "A minus" leadership level rating in the "2025 Climate Change Questionnaire" from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), an international environmental non-profit organization headquartered in London, UK. "A minus" is the second-highest rating after "A," and this marks the fourth consecutive year that the company has received this rating.
CDP is a leading international NGO in the environmental field. It conducts surveys on climate change, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the risks and opportunities posed by climate change, targeting global companies and other organizations. Based on these responses, it conducts evaluations and publishes the results.
The Iino Shipping Group has positioned the formulation and implementation of plans toward realizing a decarbonized society as one of its key strategies in its medium-term management plan. It has created a new roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and is implementing measures to achieve this goal.
We believe that receiving this "A minus" rating reflects an evaluation that our various initiatives in the group's shipping and real estate businesses to reduce GHG emissions and realize a decarbonized society are at a leadership level.
