On December 15, Hakobel announced that it has begun integrating its truck reservation and booking system "Truck Book," which has been the No. 1 growth rate system for three consecutive years, with JVC Kenwood Public & Industrial Systems' vehicle license plate authentication system.

<Automated guidance system using digital signage enables unmanned reception>

As the first project utilizing this function, it was introduced at the "GX/DX Warehouse" newly established by Hamamatsu Warehouse within the Miyakoda Distribution Center, enabling unmanned reception through an automated guidance system using digital signage.
One solution contributing to improved logistics efficiency is JVC Kenwood Public & Industrial Systems' vehicle license plate recognition system. By replacing the entry and exit procedures at logistics hubs, which were previously handled by security guards and other personnel, with camera-based license plate detection and automatic recognition, the system streamlines operations, reduces manpower, and minimizes waiting times for truck drivers entering and exiting the hubs.
By integrating these systems, the entire process from entry to berth check-in and exit can be seamlessly automated. This functionality is being offered to further reduce the burden on those working to improve logistics efficiency.
Hamamatsu Warehouse is a comprehensive logistics company with a history of over 100 years, primarily focusing on warehousing services. To meet the diverse needs of its customers and adapt to environmental changes, including legal revisions, the company is actively pursuing various initiatives. In October 2025, it opened a new environmentally friendly warehouse, the "GX/DX Warehouse," at its Miyakoda Distribution Center (Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture).
The "GX/DX Warehouse" aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of operations by utilizing digital technologies such as warehouse management systems and robots, and this function was adopted as part of that effort.
JVC Kenwood Public & Industrial Systems' cameras detect and authenticate vehicle license plates, verify them against reservation information registered in the "Truck Log," and automate the registration process, thereby reducing waiting and loading/unloading times for truck drivers. Furthermore, at the Hamamatsu warehouse, the integration of digital signage enables automated vehicle guidance, allowing for unmanned reception.
