The demonstration experiment on the 15th took place at the Tenjinmine Tunnel on the Narita-Omigawa-Kashima Port Prefectural Road. Nagase Techno Service provided a towing tractor and Taisei Corporation provided an autonomous vehicle as transport equipment, and this was the first time in the field of automated logistics roads that transport equipment was driven autonomously on land adjacent to a road that is currently in use.
Cuebus, which develops linear motor-type transport equipment, PLiBOT, which provides AMRs and other products, as well as Obayashi Corporation, Tracteasy LLC, and ecoro GmbH are participating, and they plan to use various types of transport equipment, including automated carts and non-autonomous types, in the future. Narita International Airport, Chiba Prefecture, and the participating companies will work together to conduct demonstration experiments.
