Yamato Holdings announced on December 18 that it has been selected for the second consecutive year as an "A List" company, the highest rating, in a climate change response survey conducted by CDP, an international organization that conducts environmental surveys and information disclosures.
The Yamato Group is working towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050 and a 48% reduction in its own GHG emissions by 2030 (compared to fiscal year 2020), through initiatives such as the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) and solar power generation facilities.
They also promoted "carbon-neutral delivery of parcels" to mitigate climate change across society, and established "Yamato Energy Management," which provides renewable energy electricity.
Furthermore, the company has launched a "Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting Service" that calculates and provides reports on GHG emissions generated during transportation processes such as parcel delivery, and is working to create new business models that solve environmental and social issues.
In the 2025 survey, over 22,100 companies worldwide disclosed information through CDP and were rated on an eight-point scale from "A" to "D-". Only the top few percent of companies receive an "A".
