On December 22, Spectee, an AI startup that provides the supply chain integrated cloud "Spectee SCR," announced that it has significantly updated its "tsunami warning" and "typhoon path forecast" functions to support measures against increasingly severe natural disasters.
By linking weather and disaster information with suppliers, we can support "rapid initial response" in supply chain risk management.

As a new cloud feature, when a tsunami warning or advisory is issued, the affected area can be overlaid on a map. Because the affected area can be visually identified on the map, factories and suppliers located along the coast that are likely to be affected can be instantly identified. This, combined with the evacuation order distribution function, is expected to significantly reduce the time it takes to start initial response efforts.
The system also includes a feature that allows users to overlay typhoon forecast maps released by the Japan Meteorological Agency, enabling earlier measures such as assessing the impact on a company's supply chain, securing inventory in advance, and considering alternative production methods.
Furthermore, to meet the needs of global supply chain management, the system can now overlay hurricane path forecasts from the U.S.-based National Hurricane Center onto the map.
