This award recognizes the collaboration between Sapporo Drug Store, a retailer in Hokkaido, PALTAC, a wholesaler, and Sagawa Express, a logistics company. The collaboration utilized delivery depots (such as Sagawa Express's sales offices) to improve long-distance deliveries unique to Hokkaido, thereby increasing the efficiency of deliveries to stores.
The three companies established a joint delivery system through collaboration, and by introducing logistics DX and visualizing operational status, they were able to improve loading efficiency and reduce the number of vehicles. In addition, although approximately 80% (160 stores) of the 192 stores in Hokkaido were delivered directly from PALTAC's base (RDC Hokkaido), shortening the travel distance resulted in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
