On December 23, Navitime Japan announced an enhancement to its corporate fleet management service, "Business Navitime Fleet Management Solution," adding a new "Luggage Status Management" function that allows administrators to register and check the status of luggage from their PCs.

By streamlining the verification process during loading and delivery, and facilitating smooth information sharing between drivers and managers, we aim to prevent misdeliveries and reduce the workload on drivers.

The key feature of the new function is the two-stage inspection process: loading and delivery. By having managers register cargo information in advance, drivers can simply scan barcodes according to the app's instructions to check if the correct cargo is loaded. This eliminates the need for drivers to register cargo in advance, leading to reduced work time before departure.

Furthermore, API integration and a PC management screen allow administrators to see in real time whether packages are "uninspected" or "inspected." This eliminates the need to call drivers for confirmation and enables quick identification and resolution of problems in the event of an issue.

Reflecting feedback from the field, pallet-level inspection is now possible. Large quantities of goods loaded on pallets can be quickly registered and inspected without having to dismantle them.

The system automates the previous method of visually checking items using paper lists and performing simple verifications on a pallet-by-pallet basis, eliminating the need to individually scan barcodes. By enabling bulk registration of quantities, the system maintains the speed of on-site work while allowing for accurate, data-driven cargo management.

Navitime Japan has addressed the challenges of improving operational efficiency in response to the 2024 logistics problem, including incorrect deliveries, forgotten items during loading, and unnecessary loading, by implementing new functions to address these issues.
