The four companies, which have long strived for efficient transportation, have been considering a relay-style transportation method connecting manufacturing sites and warehouses to further improve efficiency. This was possible because their delivery routes were similar.
To overcome various constraints imposed by each company, such as pallet size, transport volume, and product safety issues, we conducted product selection, loading technology verification, and quality testing suitable for joint transport. We also established a system that maximizes loading efficiency and enables operation without overload even during long-distance transport, including driver switches.
The company states that maximizing transportation efficiency through this initiative will contribute to the formation of a sustainable supply chain, including reducing environmental impact and reforming drivers' working conditions.
