Nippon Express, a member of the NIPPON EXPRESS Holdings Group, will begin offering "Kumamoto Consolidation," an international air export consolidation service that will be completed within the southern Kyushu area, from collection to customs clearance, explosives inspection, and loading, centered around the Kumamoto CFS (Container Freight Station) located near Kumamoto Airport, on February 2nd.

"Kumamoto Consolidated Cargo" is a one-stop service that utilizes Kumamoto CFS, the only air freight forwarder in Kumamoto Prefecture with a bonded warehouse, to handle everything from collection, customs clearance, bonded warehousing, explosives inspection, labeling, and loading. Cargo from the southern Kyushu area is consolidated at Kumamoto CFS, export operations are carried out, and then the cargo is exported from Kumamoto Airport to various overseas destinations.
Leveraging its location approximately 4.5km from Kumamoto Airport, Kumamoto CFS provides a comprehensive and rapid service, handling everything from weighing and measuring to explosives inspection, customs clearance, and bonded transfer in-house. This ensures stable lead times to each destination.
Previously, cargo was transported by truck from the Kyushu area to major airports such as Narita and Kansai airports. Now, the entire process, from delivery to the airline, can be completed within Kyushu, resulting in shorter lead times and reduced CO2 emissions.
Following the construction of a semiconductor manufacturing plant by TSMC, the world's largest contract semiconductor manufacturer based in Taiwan, semiconductor-related companies have continued to establish themselves in Kumamoto Prefecture. From the perspective of strengthening supply chains and reducing CO2 emissions for decarbonization, there has been a strong demand for a route that connects Kumamoto Airport directly to the world.
