On February 2nd, NIPPON EXPRESS Holdings acquired a minority stake in TCS Logistics (TCSL), a logistics company primarily engaged in domestic logistics in Pakistan, through its subsidiary NX South Asia & Oceania.
Founded in 1983, the TCS Group is one of Pakistan's largest logistics companies, headquartered in Karachi, Pakistan.
Its subsidiary, TCSL, has a logistics business base that spans all of Pakistan, handling land transport, warehousing and distribution, and international land transport connecting to Central Asia from the port of Karachi.
The NX Group has positioned providing "end-to-end solutions" that cover the entire supply chain of its customers as one of its key strategies to accelerate business growth in the global market, and is particularly focusing on strengthening its global logistics capabilities in South Asia and surrounding regions.
This transaction will leverage TCSL's domestic logistics network and customer base to strengthen its logistics business in Pakistan, where domestic demand is expected to expand in the future. It will also work to strengthen trade lanes from Pakistan to Central Asia, thereby developing new logistics services and identifying new needs.
