Nippon Express, a member of the NIPPON EXPRESS Holdings Group, has developed a new service called "Railway 7 Days" to address the risk of disruptions to rail freight transport due to natural disasters. This service fixes the required delivery time to "collection day + 2 days," which is longer than usual, ensuring reliable delivery and low costs. The first phase of the service began on February 4th, operating between Tokyo Freight Terminal Station and Kudara Freight Terminal Station (Osaka).
<"Railway 7 Days": A new service that ensures reliable delivery and low costs>

By fixing the delivery date to "collection date + 7 days (delivery on the 8th day)," it becomes easier to maintain the delivery schedule even in the event of disasters or delays, while also achieving lower shipping costs than the usual delivery time.
By systematically utilizing inventory in transit (inventory during shipment), it is possible to eliminate excess inventory at the origin and destination and reduce storage costs.
The "Railway Container NAVI" web navigation service allows for easy ordering via the web and provides comprehensive support, including real-time tracking of transportation status, email notifications for delays and delivery completion, and calculation and reporting of CO2 emissions.
