According to the third-quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced by Shibusawa Warehouse on February 9, net sales were 60.34 billion yen (up 1.1% year-on-year), operating profit was 3.152 billion yen (down 16.6%), ordinary profit was 3.923 billion yen (down 13.4%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 6.032 billion yen (up 46.3%).

Looking at sales figures for the logistics business, warehousing operations were 14.981 billion yen (down 1.8%), port transportation operations were 5.008 billion yen (down 1.9%), land transportation operations were 27.809 billion yen (up 4.9%), and international transportation operations were 5.838 billion yen (up 1.3%).

In the warehousing business, while the handling of beverages and food products performed well, overall handling decreased due to factors such as customers taking over operations at some locations and the termination of contracts due to location consolidation. In addition, the commencement of operations at a newly established location, which will serve as a foundation for future growth, increased fixed costs such as depreciation and rent.

Port transportation operations, including the handling of daily necessities and imported home appliances, as well as onboard cargo handling, remained sluggish.

In land transportation operations, the handling of beverages and food products, as well as cosmetics, which continue to see strong demand, drove overall business performance. In terms of profitability, we continuously promoted revisions to appropriate freight rates that reflected rising external costs, striving to ensure profitability.

While international transportation operations saw sluggish activity in the movement of imported home appliances and forwarding and warehousing services at overseas subsidiaries, overall operations increased due to growth in import and export air cargo.

For the full year, the company projects net sales of 800 billion yen (up 1.8%), operating profit of 42 billion yen (down 10.0%), ordinary profit of 51 billion yen (down 8.7%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 61 billion yen (up 24.3%).

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines' financial results: Sales up 2.0% from April to December, operating profit down 16.2%.
