Mercian announced on April 1st that it will revise the prices of some of its wine products, effective for shipments starting September 1st, 2026.

In recent years, the environment surrounding wine has remained challenging due to soaring raw material costs, as well as continued increases in logistics and packaging material expenses.

Amidst these circumstances, Mercian has strived to improve operational efficiency through measures such as increasing productivity and streamlining logistics. However, given that various costs are expected to continue rising, the company has determined that it will be difficult to absorb these cost increases through self-help efforts alone, and has therefore reluctantly resorted to price revisions.

The affected products include approximately 30 items of domestically produced and imported wines, with major brands such as "Bistro," "Delicious Wine with No Added Sulfites," and "Frontera." The price revision rate will be around 1-8%.

Kabaya Foods raises prices by up to 30% on Plarail toy candies and other products, citing logistics costs as a reason.
