Shippio, a company promoting trade DX, announced on April 21 that its international logistics platform, "Shippio Platform," will promote integration with "NACCS" via "Cyberport."

"Cyberport" is an electronic platform for port logistics operated by the Ports and Harbors Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) to promote initiatives aimed at improving the productivity of ports as a whole.
"NACCS" is a system operated by the Export-Import and Port-Related Information Processing Center that allows for online processing of trade-related administrative procedures and private sector operations.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism began integrating Cyberport with NACCS in March 2023, and in October 2023 released an API that allows companies to directly execute Cyberport's NACCS integration function from their own systems.
Shippio will integrate with NACCS via Cyberport through its "Shippio Platform," and will promote the development of functions utilizing Cyberport's NACCS integration API to further accelerate trade management and information sharing, and improve operational efficiency.
With the implementation of this functionality, trade information managed on the "Shippio Platform" will be able to be linked to NACCS via Cyberport, and a system will be developed to allow for the smooth referencing and utilization of some of the information handled by NACCS on the "Shippio Platform".
The aim is to reduce the burden of duplicate data entry across multiple systems for companies involved in trade, and to accelerate information sharing among stakeholders, thereby strongly supporting the end-to-end digitalization of logistics and customs procedures.
Takanori Sato, CEO of Shippio, stated, "We view this revision of Cyberport's terms of service as an important rule-making step in advancing the collaboration between our trade platform and Cyberport and NACCS. The separation of logistics procedures and customs procedures, and the duplication of data entry into multiple systems, remain major factors that reduce the productivity of trade operations. By making the connection between private platforms used daily in the field and public infrastructure smoother, we aim to create an environment where all businesses involved in trade can focus more on the tasks that truly matter. We will continue to contribute to the advancement of trade DX in Japan through public-private partnerships."
