GDP certification indicates that a company has a quality control system in place for pharmaceutical logistics that conforms to international standards for the proper storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals.

The target of this initiative is the refrigerated and frozen warehouse service for pharmaceuticals located in the refrigerated and frozen area of Terminal 3 of the Hirasawa Logistics Center, which was completed in October 2024.

The facility includes dedicated areas of approximately 500m2 for refrigeration and 500m2 for freezing, as well as a complete temperature control and monitoring system and emergency power supply. This ensures stable and high-standard storage and handling, even when handling pharmaceuticals that require strict temperature control.

Furthermore, since the warehouse has obtained bonded area permits, it can also be used for non-resident inventory. This makes it possible for companies without local subsidiaries to use it to hold inventory.

This operational approach enables the creation of logistics schemes tailored to the customer's supply chain, contributing to the provision of high-value-added services and the optimization of supply chains originating from South Korea.

The Kintetsu Express Group is working to obtain GDP and CEIV Pharma certifications in various countries, and is committed to ensuring the quality and stable operation of the pharmaceutical supply chain through international logistics. The company says it will continue to leverage its global network to enhance its logistics services in the healthcare sector.
