According to Asagami's financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, announced on May 15, net sales were 39.123 billion yen (up 0.5% year-on-year), operating profit was 2.582 billion yen (up 33.9%), ordinary profit was 2.667 billion yen (up 29.7%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders was 1.781 billion yen (up 51.7%).
Looking at the breakdown by segment, the logistics business recorded sales of 22.758 billion yen (up 4.5%) and operating profit of 2.221 billion yen (up 12.3%).
Of these, the warehousing division saw sales of 1.855 billion yen (down 1.4%), mainly due to a decrease in the volume of goods stored and handled at its logistics centers.
In the port forwarding division, while the volume of imported steel and other materials handled, as well as the volume of air cargo handled, decreased mainly due to the impact of U.S. tariff policies, the volume of steel-related work and the export volume of construction machinery increased, resulting in sales of 6.931 billion yen (a 4.5% increase).
In the transportation sector, sales increased to 13.972 billion yen (a 5.4% increase) due to factors such as a decrease in domestic transport volume, mainly of construction machinery and reinforcing steel materials, as well as an increase in crane operations related to steel pipe materials, driven by price revisions due to rising logistics costs and domestic demand trends.
For the next fiscal year, the company projects net sales of 38.103 billion yen (down 2.6%), operating profit of 2.029 billion yen (down 21.4%), ordinary profit of 2.074 billion yen (down 22.2%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 1.252 billion yen (down 29.7%).
