Japan Airlines (JAL) announced on July 8th the fuel surcharge amounts for JAL Cargo during the latter half of July (16th to 30st).
The benchmark average price of jet fuel in the latter half of June was $148.52 per barrel. However, taking into account the effects of the subsidies applied by the government as an emergency measure to mitigate the drastic changes in response to the situation in the Middle East, the fuel price benchmark was set at "130.00 or higher and less than 135.00".
The surcharge per kilogram will be 136 yen for long-haul routes to the Americas and Europe, 73 yen for long-haul routes to Asia, and 72 yen for short-haul routes to Asia.
