e-TranSpot service launched.

This service utilizes a dedicated in-vehicle device and a smartphone app to enable the digitalization and centralized management of driver operation logs, roll call records, and other records. In addition to automatically generating operation logs based on driving trajectory data, it also allows for the management of daily inspection and alcohol check records within the app.

From April 2024, the "Cargo Light Vehicle Safety Manager" system will be introduced for cargo light vehicle transport operators, requiring them to strengthen their safety management operations. On the other hand, in many cases, the creation and storage of operational records are still done on paper, making it a challenge to reduce the burden on operators.

e-TranSpot features a driver's license expiration date management function, records driving behavior such as sudden acceleration and deceleration, and can be used to review safe driving practices. Furthermore, by visualizing the operational status of each vehicle, it supports daily operations and legal compliance, while also helping to optimize management resources.

Furthermore, it features a function that automatically calculates greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for each vehicle based on mileage and fuel efficiency data, and also supports visualization. This allows for not only the promotion and verification of eco-driving, but also a quick response when requested by shippers and other companies to submit emission data, and can be used for environmental measures.

In developing the service, Yamato Transport conducted a pilot project with KinDogs, a light freight vehicle transport company, and Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Smart Value is cooperating in the construction and operation of the service infrastructure.

This project was developed based on the results of a subsidized project under NEDO's (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) "Green Innovation Fund Project / Construction of a Smart Mobility Society" initiative.

The Japan Light Cargo Association has released a smartphone version of its "K-LINK" operation management support app.
