On June 24, infonerv, an AI startup originating from the University of Tokyo, began offering "Argus 4.0," an AI agent specializing in inventory management that works in conjunction with its automated ordering AI "α-Order."
Argus 4.0 is an AI agent that provides easy-to-understand explanations of inventory analysis and ordering status through dialogue with users, and handles everything from inventory strategy planning to execution. It accesses calculation information from the automated ordering AI "α-Order" and setting information related to inventory strategies, supporting the decision-making of ordering personnel.
Its main features include explanations of the current order status and how to use "α-Order," explanations of the rationale behind AI-recommended order quantities, and the ability to change settings to reflect detailed adjustment requests from ordering staff. This supports ordering decisions by staff with little field experience and allows for immediate resolution of questions regarding AI-recommended values.
For example, in response to a request such as, "We want to increase our inventory in preparation for the period when we cannot place orders during the Obon holiday," the system proposes a realistic inventory increase plan and even suggests necessary setting changes. Once the user approves, the system reflects the changes and can then proceed to actual ordering. Furthermore, by inputting information about future demand fluctuations, such as changes in suppliers, the system can also suggest ways to optimize procurement order quantities.
Argus 4.0 is built using "Claude," a generative AI developed by Anthropic. Based on inventory data, demand forecasts, analysis results, and over 100 setting parameters accumulated in "α-Order," it provides practical suggestions tailored to real-world needs.
The input information is processed in a secure cloud environment managed by the company and is not used for external LLM training, thus meeting the requirements of companies that demand high security.
The company plans to use generative AI to enhance and automate decision-making across the entire supply chain, including distribution, manufacturing, and resource procurement, and positions Argus 4.0 as the first step in this direction.
Idealogy launches "A-Soko+", a 3D simulator for visualizing storage efficiency and costs.
