According to the first quarter financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, announced by Senkon Logistics on August 10, net sales were 49.5 billion yen (up 6.4% year-on-year), operating loss was 23 million yen (compared to a profit of 161 million yen in the previous period), ordinary profit was 78 million yen (down 49.5%), and net loss attributable to parent company shareholders was 284 million yen (compared to a profit of 59 million yen in the previous period).
In the transportation business, sales increased to 1.357 billion yen (up 7.9%) and operating profit increased to 74 million yen (up 38.9%) due to the increased volume of agricultural machinery and precision machinery being transported.
In the warehousing business, sales were down 6.1% to 996 million yen, and operating profit was down 26.0% to 173 million yen, due to the impact of the decrease in sales as well as rising electricity costs. This was due to factors such as the release of government-stocked rice and a decline in ancillary work (quality inspection) related to rice shipments conducted in the previous year.
For the full year, the company projects net sales of 203 billion yen (up 1.9%), operating profit of 320 million yen (up 26.3%), ordinary profit of 311 million yen (up 54.6%), and net profit attributable to parent company shareholders of 244 million yen (up 186.9%).
