On August 21, Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo announced that its new core research and development base for the group, the "Kyokuto Kaihatsu Group Technical Center," which was under construction in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, has been completed and has begun full-scale operation.
The Technical Center consists of a test course, three test buildings for environmental and hydraulic testing, vibration testing, and actual vehicle evaluation using road simulators, a factory building for prototyping and inspection, and an office building housing the development and quality assurance departments. The aim is to improve the quality and speed of research and development by consolidating the technologies, knowledge, personnel involved in research and development, and prototyping, testing, and evaluation equipment that have been cultivated at each location.
Far East Development Industry plans to utilize the center as a technology development base that contributes to solving social issues such as insufficient logistics capacity, high crude oil prices and costs, CO2 emissions and global warming, and the increasing severity of natural disasters, and to quickly provide high value-added products and services that support social infrastructure to the market.
