MonotaRO held its 3rd annual D&I Promotion Weeks!, an internal event for all employees, from July 13th to August 3rd.
With over 10 people leaving their jobs annually to provide care, and the job market becoming more active, leading more people to re-evaluate their careers, we are holding seminars on the themes of "caregiving" and "careers," as well as talk sessions by management.
A total of seven programs were held in a hybrid format, combining in-person sessions at the head office, logistics centers, and online, with a total of 871 employees participating.
By distributing the event locations throughout the company, including the head office, the Ibaraki Central Satellite Center, and the Amagasaki office, we were able to create a system that allowed employees working in logistics sites and those working from home to participate.
At the caregiving seminar, employees who have actually experienced caring for family members and employees who hold social insurance labor consultant qualifications took the stage to share practical insights.
At career design seminars, employees who are leading the field share their own career stories, and events like these are becoming established as part of the company culture and are expanding.
MonotaRO established a Diversity & Inclusion Committee in 2022 and is working to ensure that employees take D&I seriously.
