Itoham Yonekyu Holdings announced on September 10th that its Mishima Plant, a meat processing plant that it had been constructing in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture through its subsidiary Itoham Yonekyu Plant, has been completed.
The building is four stories tall with a total floor area of 19,708 square meters. Constructed at a cost of approximately 30 billion yen, this next-generation model factory will produce approximately 20,000 tons annually from October, mainly of the group's main products, ensuring a stable supply.
The Mishima Plant optimized its layout and production/logistics flow, and actively introduced automated equipment to achieve high productivity and stable quality.
By promoting automation across a wide range of processes, including raw material transport, packaging, and logistics, we aim to improve efficiency and reduce labor costs while strengthening quality control and traceability. We also aim to advance production management and equipment management by promoting digital transformation (DX) utilizing AI and data.
Furthermore, in addition to reducing water and energy consumption, we aim to reduce the environmental impact by promoting the effective utilization of animal residues and wastewater sludge generated during the manufacturing process.
