On September 14, Daisei Every 9 acquired shares of Chuo Expressway Transport, headquartered in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, making it a consolidated subsidiary.
As a logistics company specializing in chilled foods (refrigerated goods), Daisei Every 24 has made the construction of a nationwide cold chain (low-temperature logistics network) the core of its business and has been working to expand its network.
The Nagano area is positioned as a strategically important region for completing the nationwide network, as it is a junction connecting the Kanto-Koshinetsu area, where existing bases are located, and the Hokuriku-Tokai area. However, it lacked a base and was a network gap.
Since its establishment in 1993, Chuo Expressway Transport has been operating a general freight trucking business and warehousing business based in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture.
By incorporating Chuo Expressway Transport, which possesses facilities and expertise in temperature-controlled logistics, including chilled foods, such as operating its own warehouses capable of handling three temperature zones at three locations in Ina, Matsumoto, and Nagano, the two companies will leverage their respective resources to gradually enhance their capabilities in low-temperature food logistics and aim to provide stable and high-quality logistics services.
