Tapes, a provider of no-code cloud services specializing in automating e-commerce operations, announced on August 31 that it has newly partnered with Yamato Transport's "Web Shipping Control Service (Direct from Producer)," which directly connects producers (shippers) nationwide with consumers and wholesalers.
The Web Shipping Control Service (Direct from Producer) is a service that centralizes the process of requesting shipments from multiple manufacturers and producers, as well as managing the shipping status of those shipments. It is used by "direct from producer e-commerce sites" that ship rice, vegetables, fruits, and other products directly from the producers, and by "online gift shops" that deliver products directly to buyers from multiple manufacturers and producers without the seller holding inventory.
According to Tapes, "direct shipping e-commerce" involves many tasks, including preparing and registering shipping requests, issuing tracking numbers, and making individual contact with suppliers. As the number of orders and suppliers increases, the workload on staff also increases.
The integration feature released by the company reduces this burden and is characterized by its ability to automate everything from invoice creation to communication and shipping label issuance.
This collaboration will integrate Yamato Transport's web-based shipping control service with the e-commerce order management systems and online stores used by various companies, thereby automating logistics operations, reducing the workload involved in order processing, eliminating order backlogs during nights and holidays, and supporting the creation of a system that can handle increased orders without increasing manpower.
