According to figures released by the Japan Industrial Vehicles Association on August 29, forklift truck production in July totaled 6580 units (a 4.9% decrease, preliminary figures), consisting of 4088 battery-powered units (down 5.5% year-on-year) and 2492 engine-powered units (down 3.7%).
Note that engine-powered vehicles include both gasoline and diesel engines.
